It is not a separate district, just an ordinary, elegant stretch of the Eixample grid that happens to be the scene's home turf.
Do I need a gay-specific hotel in Barcelona?
No. Spain has some of the strongest LGBTQ+ rights in the world and same-sex couples are unremarkable in any Barcelona hotel; every hotel on this page is welcoming. You book the Axels for the scene on your doorstep, the rooftop pools and the social atmosphere, not because you need to.
What does hetero-friendly mean?
