The parade and the parties
The march moves through the heart of the Gaixample and finishes near Plaça Espanya, where the Pride Village sets up free stages and runs across several days. Around it, the bars on Consell de Cent and the terraces on Casanova spill outdoors and stay loud late. You do not need a wristband or a ticket for the core of it; the parade and the Village are open and free.
The week has a rhythm worth reading. The first days build with talks, drag shows and outdoor concerts at the Village, the parade is the loud centrepiece, and the nights stretch later than usual across the whole quarter. Daytime is for the city itself, the terraces and a slower lunch; the energy banks up for the evening. If you are travelling as a couple it is one of the warmest weeks you can pick, and solo it is the easiest week in the year to fall into a group.
